Hello, my name is Kim Luparell. I began teaching in 1977 and started my Little Flower career in 1990. I am certified to teach grades K-9, and I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child, Family, and Community Services.
William B. Yeats said, "Education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire." As a teacher, my job is to cultivate a passion for learning in every student. In third grade, we mind-read our vocabulary words, graph the status of endangered animals, and construct models of religious events. We write poetry, fiction, and biographies. You may catch us “sparkling” our spelling words, singing and dancing our multiplication facts, and building Native American shelters. Third grade students also enjoy turning their stories into plays. These are just some of the ways we "light the fire" for education.
Every age of a child is full of milestones, and I truly enjoy helping 3rd graders on their journey!
